About the Mandal
Shiv-Srushti Sarvajanik Navratri Utsav Mandal is a socio-religious organisation founded in 1979 by residents of Shiv-Srushti, a colony of about 60 buildings in Kurla (East). It began with very modest resources and a handful of founder members: Mr. Dilip Putran, Mrs. Satwika Shetty, Mr. Bharat Shetty and Mr. Ashok Naik.
The Amba Mata idol is well loved across the neighbourhood and is called “Shiv-Srushti Chi Mauli”. Many devotees say their wishes have been fulfilled here.
The Mandal stands for brotherhood: spreading bhakti and a sense of unity among all communities.
